The main ingredients of Lipo Slow Balance are red rice yeast (red yeast rice), olive extract and calcium carbonate. Red mold rice is a fermentation product of common rice with molds of the genus Monascus.

Several studies have shown that the microscopic red fungus contains monacolin K, a substance that may have a beneficial effect on the ratio between HDL (“good cholesterol”) and LDL (“bad cholesterol”).
