There are three forms of vitamin K that the human body can use to support arterial health and bones. Vitamin K1 is the form of vitamin K found in green vegetables. K1 is tightly bound to plant fibers so only a fraction is absorbed into the bloodstream. The supplement ensures ample K1 blood levels.

Vitamin K2 is usually found in meat, dairy products and egg yolks. If you want to avoid these foods for health reasons, taking a K2 supplement is necessary.
