Cat's Claw Tea (Una de Gato) 100g Una de Gato tea - tree bark tea Cat's claw tea - Cat's claw / Uncaria tomentosa - This tasty bark liana tea comes directly from the upper Amazon region on the border with Peru. The "Cats claw" liana got its name from the small sharp thorns that are on the underside of the leaves and look like cat claws. It grows on trees up to 50m high and has been used by the local Ashanica Indios and other tribes for centuries and drunk as an extremely popular tea. Uncaria tomentosa contains, among other things, various alkaloids, glucosides, triterpenes, flavonoids and tannins.
