Curcumin + BioPerine 1000mg
Commission E (Commission set up by the German Ministry of Health to evaluate the effectiveness of plant-based preparations) and the World Health Organization (WHO) confirm the effectiveness of turmeric rhizomes in the treatment of dyspepsia, i.e. digestive disorders such as stomach upset, nausea, loss of appetite or bloating, and inflammation of the digestive system.
The effects of the turmeric plant are based on its active ingredients, the curcumins. The group of plants to which Kurcuma longa belongs is related to the Zingiberaceae group to which ginger belongs. The root and rootstock (the underground parts) of curcuma longa are crushed into powder. Turmeric powder is one of the main ingredients in curry, a spice blend that is ubiquitous in Indian cuisine. Substances called curcumins have been isolated from the rhizomes of turmeric. These are powerful antioxidants that could explain some of the traditional medicinal uses of this plant, particularly in the treatment of various inflammatory conditions.
Over the last few years, international scientific research has become increasingly interested in researching curcumin - the main active ingredient in turmeric. The investigated curcumin concentrations are much higher than those in the spices in the food sector, the curcumin content of which is not determined. Nevertheless, the Indian spice is one of the great hopes for the future for the natural treatment of various diseases.
Curcumin contains the black pepper alkaloid piperine under the trade name Bioperine. Its health-promoting properties are already described in the Sanskrit literature 3000 years ago. To this day, herbalists of all cultures use black pepper and its extracts as a supportive remedy for many disorders and diseases. Various studies have shown that the alkaloid piperine contained in pepper can significantly improve the absorption rates of micronutrients. For example, up to 30% more coenzyme Q10 is absorbed into the body when piperine is present at the same time. Black pepper extract is specifically used in nutritional supplement products for precisely this property of increasing the bioavailability of micronutrients.
Recommended intake: 1 capsule per day with a glass of warm water or milk after or during a meal, preferably not on an empty stomach.
