Artemisinin extract (99%) capsules vegan 200mg
Artemisinin Extract is obtained from annual mugwort by extracting dried leaves and flowers with a solvent. The secret of artemisinin's action lies in its reaction with iron, which is found in high concentrations in malaria pathogens. When artemisinin comes into contact with iron, a chemical reaction occurs that generates free radicals, which are the real weapon against the malaria parasites. They attack the cell membranes, literally tearing them apart and thus destroying the pathogen. Therefore, the ingredient artemisinin is known as a remedy for severe malaria and is used for treatment.
Chinese researchers reported back in 2005 that artemisinin extract is not only effective against malaria and worm infections, but also against SARS-CoV-1. This in turn is closely related to the cause of Covid-19, SARS-CoV-2. Not only the scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam have been working with Artemisia annua" (mugwort) for a long time and are pursuing the approach that artemisinin could be effective against Covid-19, studies in China were also able to show that alcoholic Artemisia annua extracts were the second most effective herbal medicine in the 2005 SARS-CoV pandemic. Incidentally, the ethanolic extract worked best in combination with coffee. So far, the good effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 could only be shown in cell experiments. Tests carried out with the plant extracts from Artemisia annua in an S3 laboratory at the Freie Universität in Berlin and also the repetition in Danish laboratories came to the same results. The first human trials are now set to begin at the University of Kentucky Academic Medical Center.
