Desmodium capsules vegan 220mg

Desmodium, lat. desmodium adscendens, also called beggar herb, contains many different active ingredients. A top-class medicinal plant whose main active ingredient is said to be D-pinitol.

Based on the usual liver values, which are usually used to assess liver damage, the liver-protective effect of both isolated D-pinitol and a Desmodium plant extract was examined. It turned out that D-pinitol is definitely one of those substances that have such a positive effect on the liver.

According to studies from Ghana and Nigeria, other active substances are the flavonoid vitexin and its derivatives vitexin-2''-xylosid and isovitexin, as well as triterpenes, saponins, amines and indole alkaloids (e.g. tryptamine). Studies on the effect and possible uses in England, France and Canada are already underway. And in folk medicine, desmodium is the drug of choice.
