The Almond Egerling grows in the warm, humid highlands of Atlantic forests, on horse pastures in the state of Sao Paulo in southern Brazil. In many Asian countries, as well as in the USA and Brazil, Agaricus Blazei Murill is approved due to its diverse effectiveness. In South America it is not only a very popular edible mushroom but also a popular medicinal mushroom.

It is drunk as a tea and eaten as an edible mushroom. The medicinally active substances contained in the mushroom are contained both in the dried and in the fresh state. Agaricus Blazei Murrill contains lectins, blazein - a sterol (and other sterols), agaritin - an aromatic hydrazine, vitamin D (ergosterol) and minerals.
