Strophanthin is a cardioactive glycoside, similar to digitalis, but with a much broader spectrum of activity than this. g-strophanthin, also known as ouabain, is obtained from the seeds of the African shrub Strophantus gratus and has been used as a remedy for all types of heart disease since the 19th century. The broad effectiveness and applicability of g-strophanthin is due, among other things, to the fact that g-strophanthin is also produced as an endogenous hormone by the adrenal glands, the hypothalamus and the heart muscle itself, as was established in 1991.

Strophanthin mother tincture , Strophanthus gratus, is similar to Strovidal, only in drop form. The 100ml bottle is available from us without a prescription. Like digitalis, g-strophanthin acts on the sodium-potassium pump, with the difference that digitalis is inhibitory at any concentration, while g-strophanthin is stimulating at low concentrations, such as that achieved by oral ingestion, and only at high concentrations ( when injected) inhibitory. The sodium-potassium pump is a protein in the cell membrane that ensures that sodium ions are transported out of the cell and potassium ions into the cell, which maintains the resting membrane potential and thus ensures the excitability of nerve cells, i.e the transmission of electrical stimuli. g-strophanthin appears to have some modulating function, which explains its broad activity in so many seemingly disparate areas: heart muscle cells, adrenal glands, nerve cells, erythrocytes, and arteries.

Proven effects are: Reduction of norepinephrine production and lowering of lactate levels in the heart muscle, stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system, limitation of the sympathetic nervous system, reduction of catecholamine production in the adrenal glands, relaxation of the arteries, improvement of blood circulation, anti-inflammatory effect, increase in melatonin production, protection of nerves - and kidney cells. In the case of high blood pressure (hypertension), strophanthin has a blood pressure-lowering effect, in the case of low blood pressure (hypotension) it has a blood pressure-increasing effect. Both angina pectoris and heart failure (weak heart) are improved.

The dosage depends on what you need from the active ingredient. We have created a small overview here for you to use as a guide.

Note the slow creeping in of g-strophanthin when taking it, this is important !!! Always with the proviso that less is more.

How far can I get with a 100ml bottle of strophanthin mother tincture, which is available from us without a prescription?Content 100ml: approx. 2000 drops g-strophanthin

• 15 drops = 2mg g-strophanthin
• 22 drops = 3mg g-strophanthin
• 30 drops = 4mg g-strophanthin
• 37 drops = 5mg g-strophanthin

The above data are approximate values. Depending on the circumstances, these can vary upwards or downwards.

Example: You take 15 drops twice a day, then your bottle will last for about 66 days. It always depends on how much g-strophanthin you need.

Taking Strophanthus gratus mother tincture: Keep the drops in your mouth for 2-3 minutes! The drops smell slightly nutty and taste sweet and bitter. Start with a maximum of 1 drop in the morning, at noon and in the evening and slowly creep in (weekly 1 - 2 drops more), then gradually increase. It should be assessed according to the subjective effect, i.e. according to performance, pulse, blood pressure, respiration, heartbeat
